Camouflage!
My elation on Monday at having achieved loads while home with my ill daughter turned to a slight case of horror when she was still very poorly on Tuesday... and the doctor said it could take up to a week to get better!
Don't get me wrong, I don't for a minute mean that I was annoyed with my daughter or anything and of course she's my top priority but today I was supposed to be escorting a Royal Geographical Society 'Geography Ambassador' round to several classes. Having been arranged ages ago and with what seemed like half the school staff on a trip to The Somme, I would have felt dreadful if I'd had to have it cancelled at the last minute. I also have five lessons to teach in the next few days as most of the geography teachers will be on a field trip to Wales.
Thankfully the medicine I got my daughter yesterday seemed to have done the trick. She was absolutely fine to go to school and I spent day the with a lovely young man.
Unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures at school but the lesson I was preparing yesteday includes rainforest animal and plant adaptations and seeing this sheep through my hedge this evening made me laugh as it was very well camouflaged!
