Waiting for the Yoker Swan

Out on Sherkin Island for work this morning. Lovely morning for it too. There were lots of day trippers, artists and islanders travelling there and back. I always enjoy sitting waiting for the ferry here, it's only a ten minute ferry ride, so you can see it approaching almost as soon as it leaves Baltimore on the mainland. You can watch the people, the kids as their anticipation builds, you can muse on the minutiae of life. One other extra of islanders and their daily ferrying.
