Flying high
A much better day today, dry, warm and sunny. Quite a contrast to yesterday’s miserable weather.
We took the grandkids to a Fringe Show today - “Is this a Dagger?” - a one-man show telling the story of Macbeth. It was a children’s show, but I found it thoroughly enjoyable and informative. It held the kids’ attention too. Highly recommended:

After lunch in the cafe at the Scottish Storytelling Centre we walked back up the High Street taking in the sights and street performances. It was fairly busy, but nothing like a “normal” year for the Fringe. I found it much more pleasant!
We then made our way back through Princes Street Gardens (floral clock in extra) and there our grandson had a turn on the bungee trampoline which he had spotted on our way to the show and was desperate to try. That was probably the highlight of his day - he looked as if he was going as high as the castle!
The two grandkids are now on the train with their other grandmother going back home to Glasgow. The house suddenly seems very quiet. They’re quite hard work - but I’m missing them already!
