World Heritage Site

Year 2 Day 140 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK Vaccine 246 days ago.  UK open. Overseas travel allowed with restrictions.

We dropped off granddaughter Amelia with her mum so Mrs BB could make her 1pm hair appointment in Pontypool. I had a couple of hours free, and headed to Blaenavon. It's a World Heritage Site and I decided on an aerial of the town centre and surroundings.

Blaenavon Industrial Landscape was inscribed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000 in recognition of the dynamic foces that drove the Industrial Revolution that is told through the areas heritage assets.
