More Retro Vibes!
Hi there everyone. I have had the grandchildren here with me today, as their dad had to go to a funeral. I so wanted to get a nice photo of them, but they have been so glued to their phones or TV, that I will have to leave it for another time! So I am afraid it is another retro entry for today. As you all know, I went to see Grease the other day, and fell in love with the radio on stage. I looked and looked on Amazon etc, but couldn't really see anything that looked like that one. However, I did fall in love with this one, that definitely fits in with my kitchen retro theme. It wasn't too expensive either. It is a Dab radio, so gets good reception. It is not quite as good sound wise as my Goodman's 50's style radio (also in the kitchen). That has more bass and a warmer tone, More like the old radios of yesteryear but it was also much more expensive.. So I am going to have both in there, but this lovely red and chrome one sits nicely on my shelf. I now have 3 retro radio items in the kitchen (including the Juke box). However, I don't listen to the radio on that. I use it for CD's etc The Goodman's radio is the one I listen to every day. This red and chrome one is mainly for decoration, and as a back up. It isn't very big either.
Well, I think I have bored you enough now. On Thursday, I am going to Longleat with Dominic and the twins, (his treat) so hopefully, I will get some nice photos, including the twins. I am so looking forward to it. Especially the Big Cats!!
Thank you all for following me. Take care.
Love as always.
