The laughing gnome

Portmore Gardens at Eddleston open every Wednesday throughout July and August.  Every year we intend to visit the gardens but it is a few years since we actually got around to it.  Today we finally made a second visit.  My favourite bit of the garden is the grotto.  I really like the items placed in the grotto as they look as if they are personal objects chosen by individuals.  The laughing gnome has pride of place in the centre of the grotto
