By the sea

I drive to the coast whenever I get the chance. Irvine beach in Ayrshire is only 40 minutes away from Glasgow and is a lovely one for a walk. When it's clear, like today, you can see the Isle of Arran opposite.

I finished up work for the week so celebrated by blowing the cobwebs away. A perk of working for myself now (I quit academia and set up my own consultancy in Jan!) is having more freedom about what I work on and when.
