Another Imp
Amber spent the day with her doggie friends, the first time in 18 months. She is spending a couple of days there next week, so had a familiarising day today.
We decided that we would have a day of doing bits and pieces. The initial plan to visit the Museum of Lincolnshire Life was abandoned as they are not open on a Wednesday, so we had a wander through the grounds of the castle and cathedral. I popped into the quilting shop and got 4 fat quarters for the 4th quilt for Canada. There were lots of people about including children checking out the Imps. A nice relaxing time.
I received a gift voucher recently from two of my friends, with instructions to take B to the cafe in Waitrose and enjoy coffee and cake. We thought that we would do that today. But another negative. It was closed due to lack of staff, so many are isolating. We will have to go back.
We did some food shopping, bought some yummy buns and headed home to eat them with home made coffee. I was ready for a rest after all of that.
We headed over to collect Amber about 4pm in my little car, with me driving. I’m trying to get back into practice and independent!!!
The girls gave us a good report about Amber’s behaviour, she made pals with another young pointer and they played all day. We then went over to Whisby Nature Park for a decent walk for my benefit. It was so quiet, very few people, birds or wildlife. We only saw one rabbit dashing into the hedgerow and a flash of colour as a kingfisher flew off.
We are all tired. Amber was settled in bed by 9pm and I think we will be having an early night.
