After the rain

The day started off dry and bright enough but the rain started around 3 and has only just gone off.

Phin had his final post op check up today and was passed fit to run and jump to his hearts content. His weight is on track and he’s almost at full growth. He has been licking his bum a bit the last couple of days and when I mentioned it to the nurse she said oh really and had a quick check and said she’d have to express his anal glands - he tolerated it quite well and the good news for me was that it’s covered under the pet plan we have with the surgery.

Quick trip to town to collect Mr PHL after his dermatology appointment and home via the discount supermarket to pick up ingredients for the chilli I’m making on Friday.

A little more knitting before I made a new recipe - pan fried chicken with mash (carrots, sweet potato, celeriac mashed with chives and philly cheese) served with cavelo Nero cabbage and a sauce of red onion, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce and chicken stock. It was quite tasty but not sure the others were totally keen!
