Nobody forecast rain

BBC very local weather forecast did not mention rain. But it rained on and off most of the afternoon. Our painters were not too pleased. These hollyhocks weren't too bothered.

Jack and I went out to lunch with old friends Ann and Charlie. Ann and I met in our Ware baby sitting circle and then their 2 daughters and Neil went to the same primary school. That was many decades ago! But then they moved and lived in the north and in Scotland. I can barely remember the names of other mums but for some reason Ann and I continued to stay in touch. Now they live about 20 mins from here so getting together is not difficult, providing we are not in lockdown. So good to see them!
