'Subtle lighting'!
This morning we had two hours to spare before we went back to visit MiL in the care home. We decided to go back to Ham Wall again to do a different walk in the hope of seeing different birds. Ten minutes into the walk it started raining and this picture sums it up really!
By the time we got to drive to the home having done our Lateral flow tests for the third time in two days, we were bordering on being slightly tight for time. Of course all the traffic lights were red and on top of that we encountered road works with the lights on red. We arrived five minutes late. Many gesticulations and useless information by the administrator delayed us further, so by the time the carer was phoned MiL was sitting down for lunch. The carer arrived, and basically told us that we shouldn't have had an appointment so close to lunch. We told her that it was not our choice, but that was what we were given and were not allowed to alter it despite having a long journey home... Anyway, in the end we saw MiL and she was in a great frame of mind and we had alnmost half an hour with her.
We then came home and it took six hours!
Let's hope that when we return in September that some of the rules have been relaxed a bit!
