Back to the Battle

After a morning of visiting possible new properties in Peebles, none of them suitable, Mr P dropped me off at the college for my postponed leaving do this afternoon.
Turned out that in addition to the staff, the Board were also invited along. Particularly enjoyed meeting up again with my ex QMU colleague, Duncan. I was overwhelmed by all the kind words and my very generous leaving gifts; flowers, chocs, jewellery, champagne, Prosecco and a voucher for Dobbies. Kept it together…just!
Son no 1 has gone down to Cheddar for a cider festival with his friends, so Mr P and I alone tonight for the first time since last January.
