Busy but good day….started with coffee with CC and a catch up chat-she’s waiting for a new grandchild to be born- then into the office and had good discussion about future plans with L before heading to meet CR and go to the Stephen Osborne concert of Tippett, Schubert, Crumb and then Beethoven’s final piano sonata Op111. Amazing dexterity, variety of tone and texture, and a tour de force, using pretty much every key on the piano. The temporary concert venue in Old College Quad was brilliant …and those in the Law School are getting free lunchtime concerts every day!
Back to the office and more good meetings then chatted to A on the way home before catching up on email most of the evening and preparing for Mt&H to arrive…they’re driving up with the kids and Higgs the dog and due to arrive about 1am. We’ll all be tired tomorrow!
