And, well, in times past, the slope the gardener is sliding down was a huge chute containing all the waste the people of the city (or more appropriately, Shitty, if you are S(h)ean Connery ) produced.
And it all collected at the bottom of the slope and produced a huge Loch or lake of excrement.

And people say the city stinks NOW!
