On the road - backblip

Good journey up to our campsite near Betws y Coed, apart from missing the last turning up to the site which meant having to travel onwards for a few miles round several scary bends before we could turn round. At last we came across a nice big lay-by, turned round and after the few lost miles we successfully negotiated the difficult entrance and pitched up on a lovely site with fabulous views, we’re very high up though and the wind is very keen. Not putting the awning up!

After a late lunch we went into Betws y Coed and had a mooch, seemed like the world and its wife were there too, so we didn’t stay too long but drove quite a way up the road to Bangor. Amazing views away to Snowdon and the majestic mountains of Capel Curig. Still mighty windy and lots of low hanging cloud making everywhere look quite eerie.
