The latest technology

This lovely old deux cheveaux was parked up at the restaurant where we ate with Janice and Peter.  That's 1930s technology, the car that is.  Fortunately we have smart readers nowadays that scan your covid QR code and permit you entry to restaurants.  Unfortunately, as we found out today, the French system doesn't recognise our Northern Irish HSC vaccination QR. Neither Scottish nor N.I. QRs are recognised even though the French TousCovid app will tell you that they should be. So, after the hassle of getting the things in the first place we now have to apply by email, attaching various PDFs for a French fonctionaire to check everything manually and issue a French QR by pigeon post.  Not exactly the latest technology and not exactly holding my breath.
