What a difference a day makes

The weather was much hotter today (97 degrees) and the air was filled with smoke from distant wildfires.  A photo of the same view as yesterday's blip shows the striking change in the light, so I thought I'd share it with you.  I spent a lot more time in the air conditioned space upstairs today, bringing up my dinner and catching up on blip.  

I've noticed that Sylvie is not drinking her water.  I'm not sure if this is just since the heat started or if it began earlier and I didn't notice.  Since there is nothing I can do to make her drink, I'll just have to hope that going without water during this awful heat doesn't have any detrimental effects for her.  Tomorrow's high is expected to be 89.  A bit of a cooldown, thank goodness.
