A day at the beach

Yesterday we decided to take the boys to the beach, the nearest beach to us in London being Southend on sea. As a girl who grew up playing on the white sand beaches of North Island New Zealand S-o-S does not really do it for it me but given a bucket and spade most kids will soon be digging happily - as our two were. The tide came in on the Thames estuary and the sun came out, the boys had a swim and fish and chips for lunch.
