Cow horses

On yesterday's section of the Ridgeway (Foxhill to Ogbourne St George) we saw a field of cows in the distance. Worryingly they seemed to be spilling out onto the path & clearly had calves with them. Even our dogs pricked up their ears with interest.

As we drew nearer we were relieved to find out that they were all horses & safely behind a fence!
