Street Talk
Did a couple of hours of book clear out in our front room - a shopping-trolley full and big bag to the local recycling unit along the road, who told us they weren't accepting books these Covid days, but 'some people just leave them next to the bins' which we did, fully aware we could be fined for leaving stuff in the street, but also aware that they'd be picked up very quickly by people.
We then had lunch at our favourite Indian restaurant Rasoi. And on into the barrio gòtico. Another stop there and a visit into our favourite ceramics shop, but didn't buy. We were tired by then and took a taxi home and a siesta, before another walk out, finishing with 14,000 steps for me. We turned on our air conditioning for the first time this summer for an hour or so when we walked out this evening. So nice to come back to a coolish bedroom!
Other big news for our own records is that our wee Edinburgh flat finally finally finally went on the market today looking for a longer-term tenant. It's been an 'adventure' to get there, not without challenges. Now crossing fingers that the next steps are well - managed and the right tenant found.
My blip is a zoom in of a bench in the barrio gòtico and kind of reminded me also of Cairo.
