Doughnut Diffraction

According to the Glossary Of Space Terms From A - Z, diffraction is the spreading out of light as it passes the edge of an obstacle. As I'm not Jeff Bezos I cannot currently travel into space, however briefly, in a phallus shaped rocket so I have had to create my space effect with a pretend doughnut (it's made of felt) and some herbs and spices (coriander seed, paprika and saffron) from my kitchen. I couldn't find a dark background either so I used a sheet of polystyrene. Bit of an epic fail on all counts really!
In other news (see blip from 12th August) the square sausage did live up to expectations! Hurrah and hurrah again!
