Day 62 - Trash Fashion Show

The school does a Trash Fashion Show every year. The theme this year was Film. Dale's character is 'The Little Mermaid'.

We cut old DVDs into 4, drilled holes and sewed them onto an old swimming costume to mimic a mermaid's scales.

The skirt is made from old 35mm film cut into strips and all sewn together and it mimics seaweed.

The net reflects fisherman's nets and the DVD covers (can't see in this photo) reflects the trash caught in fisherman's nets.

She didn't win but I thought her outfit was great!
