Local church

Lovely weather today - yay for sunshine! - and that was timed perfectly as the local church had an Open Day to welcome people back after the past year or so and to help raise some much needed funds!

On display - bottom right of the picture in front of the church organ! - is the famous weather vane that had been sat on top of the church bell tower since 1785, but came crashing down due to winds in 2019.  So the local church got in touch with the TV show The Repair shop to help fix it and this is the efforts of the restoration team!  So hopefully it will be going back on top of the tower very soon!

Had a lovely wander round the church, had a lovely cup of tea and then may have purchased a few plants on the plant stall so have had great fun putting them in a pot out the front when we got home!  A Saturday well spent!
