Breathalysed

We had a slow start to today, and I kept the girls off school so that we could have the whole day to do fun stuff with Our Lucy and Nick. We did all the planning for the next fortnight and booked all their accommodation for while they are here. Now that it is all fleshed out, it looks like a fantastic honeymoon.

Once we finished with the admin, we headed our along the coast, where we bumped into these police who were doing breath alcohol checks. What a perfectly divine place to be working!?! We stopped on our way back too, but more for a photo opp than anything else.

We went to the Beachlands Cafe for lunch and a milkshake. Super yum, then headed into the Big Smoke via One Tree Hill. We spent a bit of time up there, and also at the playground there, where both Our Lucy and Nick had a go on the flying fox and other play apparatus.

We headed into the city, swung past the Sky Tower, and then parked down at the Viaduct and had a wander about there. Stopped in at Auckland Fish Markets for some terakihi to bring home and cook for tea.

We were all happy and tired at the end of the day, and I hope that their jet lag has been sorted out by having had a full day of doing things, and eating at the right times.
