The Derelict Stables at Innergellie House
This is part of the derelict stables of Innergellie House at Kilrenny, in the East Neuk of Fife. The stables were built in 1746. At one time the coach and horses would be kept here, with the coachman`s quarters in the attic. The stables have been on the "Buildings at Risk" Register for Scotland for more than 20 years. Although permission to restore the property was granted, the work has never been carried out. It is now classed as being in ruinous condition.
Geordie and I went to Innergellie woods for our walk this morning. It`s just a few miles away at Kilrenny. It was quiet, few birds, but lots of sniffs for Geordie - So many peemails, each one needing sniffed and replied to. It was a short walk in distance, but long in duration.
On our way back I stopped at Anstruther to go to the chemist. It was almost impossible to get parked, but finally we grabbed a wee space. I left Geordie in the car to smile at and amuse any traffic warden that walked by. I will not pay for a parking space when I will only be five minutes.
Then it was home to do nothing for the rest of the day. I feel overcome with lethargy, so, I suppose, I`m giving in to it.
