Another New Arrival

This coloured foal was born a few days ago at the stables.  It always amazes me how independent they are from such an early age, particularly compared to the helplessness of a human baby.

Meg, L's ride was particularly interested in the new arrival and was quite happy to watch intently from the track adjacent to the paddock.  We've noticed her behaviour before with young horses.  From what we've been told she has had a foal when she was younger and I suppose we think she still has a strong maternal instinct when she sees foals.
