Lovely weather

Good weather has returned. And by good I mean blue skies, sunny and ….. not too hot.

We went to Westbourne to buy radicchio which arrives on Fridays, but hadn’t when we went by yesterday. Then passed by to check progress at the new 5* hotel, and found it opened yesterday.

Checked out the restaurant/bar and sat on the terrace. All lovely and civilised. Had a cider (of course) and pitta bread with hummus. The interior design is fabulous, with quirky details and some very attractive artworks. The bedroom we were shown was also 10/10. So start saving blippers!

They are closing in October for Phase 2 major works, moving the outdoor pool, adding a restaurant in the garden, building a multi-storey car park - and an indoor pool and spa. Wonder why it was worth opening for a few weeks, then shutting again?

Then home. Happy to relax after the last 6 days. We did more then we׳ve done all year.
