University view

We had a good day looking round Sheffield. This was the view from the top of the art building! It’s the tallest academic building in the UK and has a very old lift system called a Paternoster lift still operating the 22 floors as well as the modern lift but fortunately for me not today - I hate lifts at the best of times! .Everyone is very friendly. We took a tram and had lunch in Kelham Island an area that has been regenerated.

We drove to Manchester this afternoon through the Dales. We had to detour due to an accident which added to the journey but the scenery was lovely.

We are staying in Media City and had dinner and drinks and fun playing games. We will head downtown tomorrow to see the University.
