Do you recognize the lime green object under the memory chip? Does the phrase, Double-Sided, Double Density ring a bell? Yep, it's a "floppy" disk. (which was a poor choice of names, as it replaced the truly "floppy" big brother with a rigid exterior and four times the memory!).

It was a BEHEMOTH, handling 1.4 megabytes!

Imagine stacking one on top of the next, two stories tall. 17.3 feet of vertical storage!!

That's the capacity of my micro chip that's perched proudly on the door of the floppy drive.

And yes, Tim, I'm hoarding memories too.
