Ancient Roman temple

This is to be the site of an ancient Roman temple. We saw photos of the remains in a book with interesting walking tours published 4 years ago. So we decided to do this tour ( in really hot weather) and explore the site. But nothing was to be seen. The archaeologists must have decided to cover up everything for conservation purposes. But what a disappointment for us.
