Bridge Over Troubled Waters?

I felt a bit lacking in photographic motivation today but we had to go to the shop for some milk so I decided to take my wide angle lens with us and force myself to look for something different on our walk down. I was quite pleased with this one. You can just make out the church in the background. Mrsfb wasn't too keen. You can see it's me - too long sleeves and tiny ankles.

I got quite angry at the shop. Probably less than half the customers are wearing masks now. A frail looking lady and (I assumed) her daughter were blocking one of the very narrow aisles. Neither were wearing masks. I waited patiently until they saw they were holding me up and offered to let me pass. I wasn't keen on squeezing past them which they realised and moved out of the way, but the daughter gave me a really dirty look. At this point the older lady exclaimed 'oh, I forgot my mask' but the daughter said, very loudly, 'no you haven't, that's all over now and we don't have to wear them any more. People with masks are just trying to scare us, and I'm not going to fall for that.'  It's a Budgens store and according to their website masks must be worn. I don't think the staff are wearing them either, but maybe the pandemic is over in local stores.

Scary - I can remember taking this photo like it was yesterday.
