Pigeon Racing

My wife's uncle won this cup in 1922 for the best young bird in the races that year.
Going back to my youth there were still plenty of houses with pigeon lofts in the gardens and active pigeon fanciers flying races regularly.
It seems to be a very minority pastime these days. How times have changed.
