Evening

A lovely, sunny evening after a rather damp day. And so peaceful. Yesterday we had 'clip, clop. clip, clop' all day, in the evening (i.e. midnight) there was a lot of shouting and we feared the worst. But then, when Gordon went down to fetch the papers this morning, he said that in the car park there were a lot of white vans with Irish number plates and a mass of empty cans on the floor . . . a party in the car park!!

And now . . . (extra) they've gone!! No one knows why they have gone, well almost gone, there are still some on Fair Field, but mostly gone. This has never happened before, they usually stay until at least Tuesday. Was it the police presence, the weather . . . or something we said.
