Earthed

It was thrilling stuff at the allotment today - alerted by a loud squeaking I just saw a fox-coloured cat emerge from the hedge and then rapidly retreat with a plump and squealing baby rat in its jaws. 5 min later I saw a fox which also dived under the hedge...and look what I found - they've been digging. So long as they keep the rats away and don't dig up the asparagus, fine with me.

I did take a photo with the camera, but this one I took on the phone to send to Mr H shows up the hole better.

Met three different sets of people, on way to and from the allotment, necessitating more conversation than I'm accustomed to these days. V nice, but quite exhausting.
