The Verge

Miss L went off for a sleepover at her friend Miss E's last night, and Miss E went off this afternoon for coffee in town with her friends so we were empty nesters!!
We lazed around all morning and much of the afternoon until there was only an hour left before the first game of the season - Watford v Aston Villa.
We quickly took Archie out for a walk round the fields behind Stowe. The farmer had literally just finished ploughing the fields and the transformation was unbelievable from the tangle of rapeseed and triffid like cow parsley and grasses. Now there's acres of freshly turned soil and a view for miles. Very different!
The fence still looked lovely and overgrown though!
Then it was home to enjoy Watford trouncing Villa 3-0. 
Well it would have been 3-0 except we let in a goal in the 70th minute and then a stupid penalty in the 97th minute. 97th!!!!!!!
But a win's a win and that's our season off to a good start. Whoop whoop!!
I had a lovely long bath to celebrate and then it was the second instalment of the Maze Runner films. We watched the first one last night. I love that Miss E likes to sit and watch Teeny films with us. And she snuggles up which I love even more!
