Precious gifts

Busy day of finishing jobs, packing and getting ready to go tomorrow.
Dave arrived for a spot of lunch and a big hug. He came bringing me Hedda's wool odds and ends and her knitting needles. Hedda, Dave's wife, was my good friend of decades, she died earlier this year. I was very emotional. It's lovely to have something of hers and especially knitting needles, that she used all the time. In the basket was also a laundry bag, that she had embroidered in 1963 when she was 10! Priceless gift that I will treasure.
