Coffee Break

Another Sunday at Hill of Tarvit guiding and talking with visitors.

The catering facilities within the Mansionhouse are closed, hopefully to return in 2022.

Guiding, while very enjoyable can be quite tiring and a cup of coffee is most welcome.

Today’s Blipfoto shows the coffee facility that we have. A fully equipped barista van serving the full range of coffees. The photo was taken from Mrs Sharp’s balcony and the master bedroom suite.

A mocha with Pat’s picnic is most welcome and we sit outside in the sun.

Of course, we are still wearing masks and sanitising our hands at every opportunity. All of the visitors wear masks as well.

The day goes well and is very busy. For many of our visitors this is the first time that they have visited a "heritage property" and they are enjoying the experience.

Today I met one lady who had operated a loom in a jute works, in fact one owned by the Sharp family. I enjoyed our conversation about her life in the mill and she enjoyed her visit.

We discussed how the mill buildings had been redeveloped for other uses more appropriate to the times we now live in.
