Train!

An afternoon walk for Meg today as I'd been invited to a dinner party with friends at Rhydyronen tonight.   Past visits told me that planning to work afterwards was a bad idea and I reckoned I wouldn't want to be walking Meg that late either!   We went up the hill behind Hendy farm again ... and again we didn't make it to the top!    Time was against us, honest!   It is a steep pull, not one to hurry.   We'll be back!    Nice to see a passing train on it's return from up the valley.

The morning and early afternoon well spent catching up on admin and I posted a package of seed to a friend in Belgium who runs the crocus seed exchange.   A year ago it was a simple exercise but thanks to our exit from the EU it now involves a little subterfuge as the other end are now more interested in what is being sent - even if it's of no commercial value.   The UK Gov have decided to delay implementing the new unworkable/unaffordable regulations at our end until January next year.   Why?   Be nice to think they're working on a better solution but I suspect they're just kicking the ball a little further down the road.   So for this year the seed can come back to UK members unhindered but next year who knows.

The evening out was lovely.   Delicious vegetarian food, gentle, intelligent company and good conversation.
