Blümlisalp
It was so lovely to wake up in the tent after a cooler night, and lie in my sleeping bag for a while, listening to the cowbells. It was worth getting out too, to enjoy the morning light over on the Blümlisalp massiv. You can see the Blümlisalp hut on the blip if you zoom in. We made a coffee, enjoyed the view for a while, then had breakfast up at the hut. It was very quickly hot, so we packed up before we went for a walk. This time we headed in the other direction, up on a track past more of those super alp huts, but we didn’t feel like a long walk in the heat. Driving back down the extremely steep bendy road was an adventure again, but luckily with no oncoming traffic. We drove along the Lake of Thun looking for a place to park and have a swim in the lake, and we found a great one in Endingen, so refeshing, and always a couple of degrees cooler than Zurisee. We drove back over the Schallenberg pass, missing out all of the traffic and roadworks on the motorway, takes longer, but has great views.
