Today's Walk

We met up at Percy Main Metro station.I dont like being late so arrived 30 minutes early so was fed with by the time the others arrived.
The name PERCY comes from the family who owned the colliery and MAIN from the seam in the pit.
We then walked through the pedestrian tunnel under the RiverTyne and onto Jarrow, one time home of the Venerable Bede. 
By this time we were ready for refreshments and the Hall was open.
The coffee and scones were spot on !!!
We then set off for home.Some by bus and others by Metro.
My tablet went haywire so very few photos came out.
One of the Jarrow March would have been great but you'll have to  use your imagination ;)
