Birthday Girl

Was awake early……. not a good nights sleep as I’d hoped :-/ awake 6.30, turns out might have been daughters car I heard. She came to see her Dad, a tearful start to her 44th Birthday. K didn’t sleep well either!

I honestly don’t know what Ive done today, except waste it really, no motivation, just sat around….. poached eggs on crumpets mid morning…..eventually went out for a coffee around 3ish. Contacted a friend to see if she was free to join me….. isolating, daughter has Covid :-/

Came home, really cool today, not felt warm all day…..so decided on pleather pants & an off the shoulder jumper for Ks birthday Indian.
Our original plan was tweaked…. she didn’t feel up to the restaurant so a takeaway round hers instead. Still enough of a reason for me to get a bit dressed up…. especially as there are not so many now :-(

Youngest & his wife picked me up en route, middle son & his wife couldn’t make it, too far and two little ones to look after, we missed them! Today’s blip is the birthday girl & hostess with the mostest, with her “little” bro!!

We had a really nice evening…… food, beer, wine, good chat, with S, Ks other half, a bit of reminiscing about their childhoods & teenage years lol. K had had lots of nice pressies, cards & flowers too.

I think what started as a pretty rubbish day for some of us ended up an enjoyable one….albeit someone was missing,
