Bad news day
The top photo in the blip is from our morning walk today. It was a sunny but windy morning and the view is looking across the Waitemata Harbour to Rangitoto Island, with Brown’s Island and Waiheke Island in the distance. The two lower photos are of the display cabinet of the sushi shop in Eastridge Shopping Centre that caught our eye as we walked by. They looked so pretty I couldn’t resisting taking a quick photo.
Bad news day is because today we learned there is a case of Covid-19 in the community in Auckland and the Government has assumed it is the Delta variant and put the entire country into Level 4 (the highest level) lockdown for seven days whilst genomic sequencing is done and contact tracing is carried out. The idea is to go hard and fast and try to contain and eliminate the outbreak. Fingers crossed!
