Mallard

Walked around the Loch twice this afternoon. This mallard looked sweet and placid preening itself in the sunshine but moments before I saw two of them viciously attack another one and a big fight erupted. Fortunately the one that was being attacked managed to escape but it must have suffered some damage. Not so friendly creatures after all!
I was glad to see both of the adult swans with the cygnet again.
