Morning get together

I had a school friend come over today. I get so few visitors that it's always a bit of an obsession to get everything just so. It was really nice though cloudy today and I showed her the gardens and then we chatted over almond cake and sun tea in the teahouse. It was really lovely. And then when she left I felt a little at loose ends. The summer is winding down and it always ends too soon.
