Old Mill Lane Delivery

The latest Parish Council Newsletter that I produced is now back from the printers.  Yesterday, I walked with Avril, our Parish Clerk, along Roper Lane and Old Mill Lane  to deliver them to houses along the way.  One complex of houses, which is away from the road and down by the river, was, I think, originally a wire Mill.  There was lots of industrial activity around here in the past.  You probably wouldn’t guess that today.  I guess we walked about three miles if we add on the detours to post the newsletter through each letter box.
