Walking the canal this afternoon we were delighted to see a barge making its gentle way eastwards.
Today’s extra could be titled “Toad in a Hole”, this junior toad was right in the middle of the towpath and would have made a tasty snack for a gull, crow, etc. I moved it to a safer place on the grass verge.
A slightly cooler, duller day but very pleasant for walking.
