Pigeon Amplification

I can only apologise for today's very poor photographic effort but hey it was near the end of the day and it's really just to enable me to tell my pigeon story.
We have two large pigeons which appear to be almost permanently resident around our house - in the front and back gardens, on our driveway and, as this image shows, on our roof. Unfortunately, they also have a predilection for sitting right on top of our chimney. When the inevitable cooing starts our chimney acts as a massive amplifier and the sound becomes so loud that if you are listening to music or watching the telly you have to turn the sound up!
I used to get so irritated that I would run outside to chase them away but that would sometimes mean I would miss an important part of the plot of a film or a thriller that I had been enthralled in and they would only came back a few minutes later anyway. So I have just learned to live with it, turn the sound up and occasionally it now even makes me smile! I might be getting slightly more zen as I get older! :-)
