A wink is as good as a nod

A little light shopping involved a trip to Evesham and then to a local farm shop where their wildlife hide has reopened with the relaxation of Covid rules. As we approached it we met two ladies with small children who were leaving, disappointed having seen nothing. We sat for five minutes or so without even seeing a single bird and were about to leave when two fallow deer came into view. One, clearly very young, heard a slight noise, turned and ran. The other came closer, stayed for a feed, and was still there when we left.
