Counterclockwise ... Just like a Hurricane

This incredibly industrious spider was very busy weaving a beautiful big web on the deck railings of Portside this evening.  Her work made me think of satellite photos of the circular motion of hurricanes ... one of which is threatening our area right now. 

In other weird news, I noticed movement outside our living room windows this afternoon, and realized there was someone standing in our yard, taking photographs.  When I went outside to ask if I could help them with something, the elderly woman just turned to me and said, "Oh no.  I'm fine.  I'll just be a few moments.  I'm taking some photographs."  I was so surprised I just shrugged my shoulders and retreated indoors!  So strange!
