Fed cattle then headed off to bale the rest of yesterday’s silage. Got 7 bales done before the baler broke down !
Phoned the New Holland dealership to get Biff to come and fix it.
While that was happening , gathered up a crew and brought in the calved heifers to tag their calves and move them to another field , leaving the ones that are still to calve in their original field. Some of the first time mums were a bit protective, and Kev could be in the Olympic high jump team the speed he cleared a gate with a disgruntled Saler x cow in hot pursuit !
Once that was done headed back up the hill to finish baling before the rain comes .
Had to pick junior up from Gorebridge station later on . These planters were in full bloom and certainly brightened the place up. Hopefully they won’t get vandalised ....
